The WiFi situation is a major hassle. The bar network barely works while the room network requires a password that's a bit of a wild goose chase. The bathroom lights are annoyingly bright and can’t be turned off. The shower is more of a reluctant dribble than a proper rinse. Noise from the bar lingers late into the night, with thumping music and the sound of pool balls making it hard to catch some Zs. Not ideal for light sleepers.

would stay here again
Great clean room with private bathroom, had a flat-screen TV and a tea/coffee maker. There were also free toiletries, towels, and an electric kettle. The location is super central, just a minute away from a public car park that’s really cheap. Enjoyed the bar with local folks, atmosphere was fun.

Decent location and comfy bed, but service was slow during breakfast rush.

Unfortunately, the shower cubicle had cracked tiles and a noticeable mold issue that really detracted from the experience. Limited Wi-Fi access was frustrating, needing more than just an elusive router. The bar area hosted noisy karaoke on Friday nights. It added some fun but made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep, especially with the traffic noise seeping in through single-glazed windows. Parking was another hassle, as it felt like there were never enough spaces available for those driving in. Ultimately, the facilities seemed outdated and in need of maintenance.

The Family Room was clean, and the mini fridge was handy for drinks. The shower had decent pressure, but the mattress felt old and thin. We noticed some issues with the plug sockets, which was a bit annoying. The location was great, right near everything, but we couldn't sleep as well as we hoped because of some noise from outside. it was a mixed experience.

Great location and lively atmosphere
I had a delightful stay, thanks to the fantastic central location right by the Minster. The bar's lively karaoke nights created a fun atmosphere, and I appreciated having a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk in my room. I experienced some road noise due to the single-glazed windows, which detracted from my sleep quality.

Good vibes and fun times!
Went for a night out with friends and had a blast! The bar staff were super friendly and made us feel at home. The karaoke was so much fun and really added to the chill atmosphere. The only hiccup was the lounge being a bit crowded. Still, totally worth it!

It was a quick stop over, and I appreciated the helpful staff who went out of their way to assist me during my stay. The location is great, with plenty of dining options nearby, although not on-site. The karaoke night was fun and added some local flavor, and the room met my needs for a solo traveler.

The Crown's bar area is a real gem, serving a top-notch pint of Hobgoblin and sporting a lively karaoke night—definitely a great time! Plus, with so many fantastic eateries nearby, like Scoozi and The Refectory, you'll never go hungry. A marvellous spot next to the historic Southwell Cathedral adds to the ambience.
Unfortunately, the room had some quirks like a loose plug socket and a shower that seemed to have its own agenda.

Great location right in the center of Southwell. The public car park is just a one-minute walk away and very reasonable. The room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. the noise from the nearby road started early, disrupting the peace. The bathroom light had no off switch, leaving it on at night. Cobwebs were noticeable around the room and indicated a need for better cleaning. The shower lacked hot water pressure, making it difficult to use effectively, and we noticed limited privacy in the shared facilities. while there were some positive aspects, several maintenance issues should be addressed for a better experience.
